We’re a community of people on the Kapiti Coast with a desire to live and love authentically.

Love

Here at Beach Church we’re getting back to the basics… a love for God and for people.

Jesus has called us to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbour as yourself.” [ Matthew 22:37-39 ]

For us, it’s all about love.

Love for God

We believe that Jesus is God. It’s all about Him.

Our personal relationship with God is our most important priority, and we want to love Him wholeheartedly. We are hungry for the Holy Spirit and to experience His presence, to hear His voice and to pursue Him in all we do.

Love for people

“Love each other as I have loved you.”  [ John 15:12 ]

We want to be known as a church that loves people.Deep down we all long to love and to be loved, and have a place to belong. We were made for community; relationship with God and with each other. This is how God designed us.

We’re about living life together and creating real connections by living in community and fellowship with one another. No matter what your background or circumstances, we want this to be a refuge, a place of belonging, and for welcoming people home.

Our Values

God the Father, Jesus &
Holy Spirit focus

Glorifying God as Father, Jesus as Lord and honouring the manifest presence of the Holy Spirit.

Bi-Culturalism

Honouring Tangata Whenua

Speaking / singing in Te Reo

Understanding the Treaty and how it affects our nation

Missions

Obedience to the great commission, Matthew 28:19, locally and globally.

We believe that a healthy church needs to have a world mission and a local mission, and that our job is to partner with, and encourage, gifted church leaders in the developing world by sending RBC teams to work alongside them.

The Word

We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and that there is power in the word.

“In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God.” [ John 1:1 ]

We teach from the Bible to learn and grow in our understanding of who Jesus is, and by knowing Him we can find true fulfillment in our lives.

Manaakitanga

Manaakitanga is a very important aspect of
Beach Church, it’s about how we make people feel welcome when they are in our company, and how we give regard to, and care for, others.

It also means showing kindness and generosity, caring for others, treating people with respect, nurturing relationships and creating a sense of home.

Visit

What to expect

Wherever you are at in life, whatever your background, whether you are new to the area or just visiting, we want to welcome you. We meet together every Sunday at 10am. We’d love you to join us.

We realise that visiting a church for the first time can be an intimidating experience. To make you feel a bit more at home, here’s what you can expect from our Sunday services.

Worship

We want our worship to lift up Jesus Christ.
We love getting into God’s presence and being led by his Spirit in worship. We intentionally choose songs that are rich in biblical truth and songs that we sense the Holy Spirit is moving on.

We also desire to worship God in the tongue of our land – Te Reo Maori.

Worship at RBC is an invitation to come enter in and give glory to our wonderful heavenly Father. His presence is so precious to us and we are intentional in our worship to allow and encourage encounters with Holy Spirit, His Love, Power, Revelation and Healing.

The Word

We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and that there is power in the word.

“In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God.”
[ John 1:1 ]

We teach from the Bible to learn and grow in our understanding of who Jesus is, and by knowing Him we can find true fulfillment in our lives.

Beach Kids

At Beach Church we love and welcome families. Our children’s programme, Beach Kids, which is run by a fantastic team of committed teachers and helpers, is available during the service for five year olds and over. It is designed to teach our kids in a fun and interactive way so they can learn and grow in their relationship with God.

A crèche is also available for children under five.

Community

We love to hang around after the service and share a coffee and some food together. This time is more than just getting to sample some of the delicious treats on offer (even though these are something pretty special). It’s a time to get to know one another and create community.

We’d love for you to join us for morning tea after the service.
